Haedrig's Gift GR20 Season 26 Guide

Introduction

The Haedrig's Gift is a fast track to getting your first full (6) Pieces Set during the start of a season. Completing Chapters 2 through 4 of the Season Journey rewards you with one bag containing two set items for your class. The first chapters are very easy, but in Chapter 4 you are required to complete a Solo Greater Rift 20 in order to unlock the last pieces, which will give you a huge boost to your progression and clear speed. This overview will help to you get started as fast as possible.

This time around, Demon Hunters and Monks are the big winners here. They get Embodiment of the Marauder and Inna's Mantra respectively, which are among the best builds out there. Barbarians also get The Legacy of Raekor that works well to get going. Luckily GR20 is very easy to complete even without a proper setup in most cases.

These proposed setups use the minimum requirements to clear GR20, which is usually just 4 pieces of the set and random yellow items. In some cases a single legendary item (which you will very likely have from gambling/cubing at level 1 or found along the way) was added to make the setup stronger because the first bonuses of some sets don't provide enough power for easy completion.

Some of these sets are quite bad without their (6) Bonus or even with it when they don't have a range of supporting legendary items. This especially applies to Wizards and Necromancers with Delsere's Magnum Opus and Pestilence Master's Shroud, so instead of going with your half-completed set you can just run with Legacy of Dreams, level it up a few times and equip any random Legendary items you can find, making it even easier to complete GR20 with just about anything you choose. Check below to find out more about the suggested setups.

GR20 Setups

Barbarian - The Legacy of Raekor

GR20 Run
This run will be cake because of the set's 4-piece bonus. Keep up War Cry and Battle Rage at all times while using Threatening Shout for Fury. Use Furious Charge as much as possible for DPS. Wrath of the Berserker and Sprint add extra damage and speed when needed.

Full Set
After you complete the full The Legacy of Raekor set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:

  • Arreat's Law
  • The Three Hundredth Spear
  • Skular's Salvation
  • Band of Might

Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Raekor Boulder Toss Guide

Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.

Crusader - Armor of Akkhan

GR20 Run
The set barely helps us here. The easiest way to do it without any help is to simply stack Thorns as much as possible. We use all Thorns-related abilities and stack Cooldown Reduction where possible. Keep up Akarat's Champion, use the Steed Charge and Consecration for small targets and combine them with Iron Skin and Bombardment for elites.

Full Set
After you complete the full Armor of Akkhan set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:

  • Belt of the Trove
  • The Mortal Drama
  • In-Geom
  • Aquila Cuirass

Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Akkhan Bombardment Guide

Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.

Demon Hunter - Embodiment of the Marauder

GR20 Run
You already get a solid damage buff from the incomplete set. The key is strategic positioning of Sentry so that they have a good vision of the area. Once you have set them up, use Cluster Arrow to decimate your enemies, then refill Hatred with Preparation Punishment, Companion and your generator.

Full Set
After you complete the full Embodiment of the Marauder set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:

  • Zoey's Secret
  • Manticore
  • Bombardier's Rucksack
  • Elusive Ring
  • Wraps of Clarity

Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Marauder Sentry Guide

Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.

Monk - Inna's Mantra

GR20 Run
Inna is a great set but not without the (6) Bonus. If you haven't found any other damage multipliers by now, go with this setup. Keep up Sweeping Wind for continuous AoE damage, spam Exploding Palm on low HP enemies and use Mystic Ally for extra damage against bigger targets that survive the explosion. If you already have The Crudest Boots, just go with Water Ally and you win.

Full Set
After you complete the Inna's Mantra set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:

  • The Crudest Boots
  • Bindings of the Lesser Gods
  • Goldwrap

Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Inna Mystic Ally Guide

Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.

Necromancer - Pestilence Master's Shroud

GR20 Run
Pestilence Master's Shroud isn't a great starter but with some effort you can still make it work in GR20. Alternatively, use Legacy of Dreams with any random legendary items you can find. Stack Cooldown Reduction as much as possible to combine Corpse Lance with Devour spam during Land of the Dead for a burst. Command Golem will help you out in smaller bursts on a shorter cooldown.

Full Set
After you complete the full Pestilence Master's Shroud set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:

  • Jesseth Arms
  • Messerschmidt's Reaver
  • Goldwrap
  • Krysbin's Sentence
  • Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac

Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Pestilence Corpse Lance Guide. Alternatively, just stick to your Legacy of Dreams setup and improve it by acquiring more (ancient) legendary items, key legendary powers for your main skill and leveling your gem.

Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.

Witch Doctor - Zunimassa's Haunt

GR20 Run
Summon your Fetish Army immediately and whenever possible inside a pack of monsters. Keep up Soul Harvest for yourself and Locust Swarm on your enemies at all times, otherwise spam Haunt as much as possible for DPS. Piranhado helps to group up enemies better.

Full Set
After you complete the full Zunimassa's Haunt set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:

  • Lakumba's Ornament
  • Carnevil
  • Mask of Jeram
  • The Dagger of Darts
  • Goldwrap

Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Zunimassa Poison Dart Guide

Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.

Wizard - Delsere's Magnum Opus

GR20 Run
Beating GR20 without any help is really tough as the incomplete set doesn't help us. Instead, use Legacy of Dreams, rank it up a few times and equip any random legendary/set items you found. If you have any strong multiplier for a skill, go with that to make it easier, otherwise use the shown setup revolving around Hydra and Blizzard and pull as many enemies as possible.

Full Set
After you complete the full Delsere's Magnum Opus set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:

  • Unstable Scepter
  • Wizardspike
  • Triumvirate
  • Goldwrap

Make sure to check out the full build guide here: DMO Frozen Orb Guide.

Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
